Hello! First let me start by introducing
myself, my name is Chandra Crawford. Welcome to my Swallowtail Papillons of Oregon!
I am a Vet. assistant by trade, although currently a stay at home Mom of 2 daughters,
16 & 9 yrs. old! I am happily married to my high school sweet heart of almost 20 yrs. I have elected to stay home to help
my husband run our floor covering bus. & to be here for our 2 girls. I do still, however, on occasion fill in at
the Vet. hospital but, for the most part, get to be home for my family & play w/ my second kids (aka, our dogs)all day........truly
the best of both worlds!!!
Prior to getting into Papillons, I also showed & bred American Staffordshire
Terriers (aka, Pitbulls) for years but, grew very tired of all the politics of showing & having to be oh so cautious
about just where our puppies went, as to ensure they never ended up being fought or w/ anyone that would go out of their way
to inflict harm, as this breed truly has a bad rep!
I decided to get into Paps about 2 yrs. ago, after doing much research on the breed.
I was specifically looking for a small breed dog, smart & low maintenance in the grooming department. I had fallen
in love w/ Paps years ago after seeing them at a show but, didn't know a whole lot about the breed. After doing my research
found that these little guys are all around, absolutely wonderful! They are #1 for intelligence in the toy group & are
extremely versatile to appartment living or being in the country, such as ours are. They are very loving, affectionate,
loyal & really seem to never meet a stranger! Although, they are quick to alert you to anyone coming to visit but, are
generally very glad to see company & get to meet new people!
Finally, in closing, I have been in various animal fields since I was 17, Vet. assistant,
pet store manager & even Animal Control! I am very knowledgeable when it comes to most pets, not just dogs. All my
dogs, puppies & pets always recieve the utmost in care, love & attention! As far as I'm concerned, there's no other
way!
