This contract & Guarantee is primarily for us to ensure
the health & well being for our puppies, as well as to protect all parties involved.
Sale Agreement
I Chandra Crawford, hereinafter referred to as Seller, agrees to sell and
, hereinafter referred to as buyer, agrees to buy a Papillon puppy, hereinafter referred to as Dog, for the sum of $
.
Buyer has paid a non-refundable deposit of $250.00 . With the balance of $
, plus a shipping fee of $250.00, when applicable, to be paid in full prior to delivery.
Health Guarantee
Seller guarantees that the Dog is in good health at time of delivery. The Dog will have had at least 2 sets
of vaccines, been wormed, started on heart worm prevention & be health certified by a licensed Veterinarian. Seller highly
recommends buyer to have their veterinarian do a complete exam of said Dog within 48 hrs. of delivery. If within 10 days of
delivery, a veterinarian certifies the Dog has an illness which predates, or is the result of exposure to delivery, Buyer
may return the Dog to Seller for a full refund of the purchase price, including deposit,( excluding shipping fees, when applicable)
or after conferring with Seller, Seller may agree to pay reasonable veterinary costs. Buyer is advised to avoid exposure to
other dogs or places frequented by other dogs, preferably for 6 months, at least until all vaccines have been given. Seller
also, guarantees the Dog against genetic defects for 1 yr. of delivery. If within that 1 yr. A veterinarian certifies that
the Dog has or will develop (not just a carrier) a genetic health defect, such as PRA (Progressive Retinal Atrophy) or PL
(Patellar Luxation), the two most common defects in Papillons, the Dog may be returned, at buyers expense, for a full refund
of the purchase price, less deposit. If either of these clauses are invoked, Buyer & Seller shall agree how to proceed,
according to what is best for the Dog. Buyer is urged to have DNA testing performed.
Seller represents this dog as a pet quality animal with no disqualifying faults according to the registries
breed standards or has a disqualifying fault if stated here .
It is not guaranteed to be without such faults. Seller makes no other representations about the Dog.
Buyer Agreement
Buyer agrees to provide for the Dog all it’s physical & social needs, as well as recognizing that
pet ownership is a lifetime commitment. Buyer will continue an appropriate vaccine schedule, according to the advice of buyers
veterinarian, including maintaining rabies vaccinations, heart worm prevention & licensing in their local jurisdiction.
Buyer agrees never to turn the Dog over to a shelter, or sell it by raffle. If the Dog becomes unwanted, or
Buyer is unable to provide for it, Buyer may return the Dog to Seller. Buyer assumes all responsibility for the Dog’s
future health & welfare. Such things as personality conflict with the Dog, landlord disapproval, changes in Buyer’s
circumstances, etc. are considered within the realm of pet ownership & invoke no responsibility from Seller.
However, Buyer agrees to grant unto Seller the right of first refusal to purchase or take possession of said
Dog & any transfer back to Seller shall be accompanied with appropriate registration papers properly endorsed by buyer.
Seller always remains interested in the welfare of the Dog & encourages communication from the Buyer regarding
it’s progress.
