Spark's Story
Spark was one of my very 1st Papillons. Already 1 1/2 yrs. old, she came to us, along w/ our 1st sire Coby, from a breeder in Arkansas that had trios of various breeds. Her 3rd Pap female had to be spayed so she decided to find a new home for Spark & Coby.
Spark came to us with a prior eye injury. She had some how torn the lense, which required surgery to repair. Upon arriving to us it was healed and does not affect her vision but, she does have a small amout of scar tissue to show for it. To our surprise she is the eagle eye of the yard!
Spark had been a kennel dog her whole life prior to us. Once here with us she  became a member of our family. We quickly realized that she had a huge issue with car rides & getting extremely car sick. Slowly but surely, being the active family that we are & taking her with us on various road trips, camping, to the river, dog shows, etc., she has come to realized that riding in the car isn't a bad thing & will now even jump in on her own.
Spark is on the larger end of the breed standard & is a very sturdy dog. She has a beautiful full coat with a very laid back temperament. She was the best Mama anyone could ever hope for & was never more in her glory than when she was pregnant or had babies. I could always tell within a week or two of breeding if she was pregnant as she would get this wonderful glow about her & quite the sparkle in her eye.
I think Spark would probably be best suited with an older couple or a more laid back home. Although a confident dog, great with kids & in true Papillon form, doesn't seem to know what a stranger is, she preffers to just be a cuddler.
